Donaghadee Lawn Tennis Club has become the first Club in the Ards borough to successfully achieve Ulster Tennis Clubmark status, and the second in Ulster to be awarded this distinction.

Ulster Tennis Clubmark is the quality standard for Tennis Clubs throughout Ulster. Accreditation is awarded to Tennic Clubs who achieve the core criteria in;

· Coaching and competition
· Safety
· Management; and
· Equality

Trevor Octave, Donaghadee Club Chairman, commented,

Donaghadee Tennis Club is proud to have attained accreditation on the Ulster Tennis Clubmark Accreditation Scheme. This reflects the emphasis that we place on junior development and increasing adult participation levels within the club. This accreditation process cements the foundations of management and organisation on which we can build enjoyment of the game for all in the  years to come.

With the aim of enabling all members of the community to enjoy tennis Donaghadee Tennis Club has coaching for all levels of ability, with particular emphasis on junior coaching. On a Thursday evening from 5pm-7pm the club provides a fun, safe environment for juniors from 5 years old to 14 to play and develop their skills.
